The Arts

In its 101st year, The Scholastic Art & Writing Awards is the longest running, most prestigious recognition program for creative teens.

The awards are presented by the Alliance for Young Artists & Writers. The Alliance is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization whose mission is to identify students with exceptional artistic and literary talent and present their remarkable work to the world through the Scholastic Art & Writing Awards. The Awards give students opportunities for recognition, exhibition, publication, and scholarships. In 2023, students across the United States and Canada entered more than 300,000 original works in 28 different categories of art and writing.

Gettysburg Area High School is proud to present the Regional Results for Scholastic Art & Writing Awards for the 23-24 school year!

10 GOLD KEYS, 11 SILVER KEYS, 20 HONORABLE MENTIONS.

The ten gold keys winners will be adjudicated at the national level. In the past, GAHS students have been recognized at Carnegie Hall, but we will have to stay tuned until June 12, when national medalists will be announced. This is a much later deadline than previous years.
